The Taste of Asia Menu Makes the Difference
We make real food using our best recipes, and the best ingredients we can find. Our egg roll fillings are cooked from scratch and the rolls wrapped by hand. Our pho broth is created the old-fashioned way; meats and spices stewed for hours, seasoned to perfection. The food we serve to our guests is the same as we’d prepare for our family get-togethers, and the secret ingredient in everything we cook is love.
When you’re eating with us, you’re family, too, and we hope it shows in the dedication we bring to the foods we prepare. We believe that when we eat well, everyone deserves the opportunity to eat well. Come join us today, and experience the difference that real home cooking makes in preparing your favorite Asian dishes.
Where the Heck is Laos?
Laos is a country in the middle of the Southeast Asian peninsula, bordered by China, Myanmar (Burma), Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. Its geographic situation historically made Laos a crossroads for culture and commerce in Southeast Asia, and Laos was the most prosperous country in the region at one time. Like many countries in Asia and around the world, Laos’ borders and politics have often been re-defined by war.
Most recently, following the Vietnam conflict, the Pathet Lao communist party and the Soviet-backed Vietnam Peoples’ Army succeeded in overthrowing the Lao Royalist government, touching off a civil war and creating an humanitarian crisis. Between 1975 and 1996, the United States government relocated more than a quarter million Lao refugees who had fled to Thailand. This is how the story of our restaurant begins…
